Incumbent Ward 9 Councillor Dubois Announces Bid For Re-election in Ward 9

As the upcoming municipal election approaches, the City of Saskatoon faces an unprecedented number of vacancies on its Council. Long-standing Ward 9 representative, Bev Dubois, who has dedicated five terms to serving the community, is once again stepping forward. With a deep understanding of civic government at every level, Dubois’ experience, continuity, and compassion are poised to be invaluable assets in navigating this period of significant change. Her seasoned leadership will continue to benefit both Ward 9 and the City of Saskatoon.

“I want to continue working on your behalf and in your best interests to make a difference; to ensure everyone has a good quality of life in Ward 9 and the City of Saskatoon. We live in the best city in the country and I want to carry on doing my part to keep it that way.”

Dubois’ priorities haven’t changed. She aggressively advocates for lower taxes and focuses on improving basic core services such as roads, sidewalks, transit, parks, and snow removal. She will continue to work hard to ensure that residents in Ward 9 feel safe and have a good quality of life. During Dubois’ tenure, she has been a strong voice for fiscal responsibility, community development and public safety. Bev wants to ensure that taxpayer dollars are used sensibly; she believes in accountability of our tax dollars while championing initiatives to improve infrastructure and public services.

“I’m honest and reliable, and I will continue to work hard on behalf of Ward 9 residents,” she says. “One of my proven time-tested strengths is collaboration. As an experienced community leader, I understand that you need a strong elected team and a solid administration to achieve the best results for all residents in Saskatoon.”

Bev was born and raised in Saskatoon and chose to remain and raise her family here. Bev is a proven results-oriented community leader and advocate, with multiple years on various boards and commissions.

Dubois is a committed community supporter and hands-on volunteer and has dedicated her time and talents to an extensive number of organizations, locally, provincially, and nationally. As a result of her volunteer work, Bev has been honoured to receive the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal, the Canada 125 Medal, and both the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond and Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medals. Her volunteerism includes Children’s Wish Foundation, Saskatoon Rotary Club, OUT Saskatoon Pride Home, Salvation Army Community Council, Ovarian Cancer, Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build, and WAMS (Women Against Multiple Sclerosis).
